THE MEANING BEHIND 'KARIBU'
The townhouse takes its name from the Swahili word karibu, meaning welcome. In East Africa, the word carries real weight. It speaks of generosity, warmth and shared space. It is about helping someone feel they belong.
That spirit is at the heart of your stay here. From the moment you arrive, we want you to feel at ease. The house has been prepared with care so you can settle quickly and live comfortably, whether you are here for work, time with family, or a short break.
You will notice artefacts throughout the house collected during travels in East Africa. Each piece has its own story and reflects the hospitality that inspired the name Karibu House. Consider this your invitation to come in, unpack, and make the space your own.
